Climatic Change Magazine
Climatic Change is dedicated to the totality of the problem of climatic variability and change - its descriptions, causes, implications and interactions among these. The purpose of the journal is to provide a means of exchange between those working on problems related to climatic variations but in different disciplines. Interdisciplinary researchers or those in any discipline, be it meteorology, anthropology, agricultural science, astronomy, biology, chemistry, physics, geography, policy analysis, economics, engineering, geology, ecology, or history of climate, are invited to submit articles, provided the articles are of interdisciplinary interest. This means that authors have an opportunity to communicate the essence of their studies to people in other climate related disciplines and to interested non-disciplinarians, as well as to report on research in which the originality is in the combinations of (not necessarily original) work from several disciplines. Pharmaceutical Statistics is an industry-led initiative, tackling real problems in statistical applications. The Journal will publish papers which share experiences in the practical application of statistics within the pharmaceutical industry. It will cover all aspects of statistical applications in the industry from discovery, through pre-clinical development, clinical development, post-marketing surveillance, consumer health, production, epidemiology, and health economics.The Journal will be both international and multidisciplinary reflecting the nature of the pharmaceutical industry. It will include high quality practical papers, case studies and review papers. Each issue will feature a Teacher’s Corner, Consultant’s Forum, Reviews and Viewpoint sections. Nursing Inquiry Magazine
The Editor welcomes contributions on historical, methodological, ethical, policy and substantive issues relating to the everyday practice of nursing. We invite: Methodological perspectives that offer the development and review of methodological frameworks and approaches in a way that broadens and extends approaches to nursing research and enriches the discipline of nursing. The exploration of ethical issues that underpin everyday nursing practices and assumptions. We welcome papers that re-examine these assumptions and explore the nexus between practice and ethics. Historical research that revisits the emergence of professional nursing and the every-day assumptions upon which the nursing narrative rests. Particularly welcome is historical work that extends our understanding of the gendered nature of nursing, and of its class and racial divisions. Substantive research such as work that draws upon methods and ideas from the humanities and social sciences, as well as from science and medicine, to investigate and analyse practices, and technologies and trends in nursing. Analysis of policy trends in nursing which critically examine nursings position within the rapidly changing health care sector, and in the light of global trends such as the casualisation of labour, the emergence of generic health workers, multi-disciplinary teams, independent practice models, technological change, privatisation of public sector health and increased financial pressure on health spending. Philosophical inquiries that critically investigate the assumptions underpinning nursing practice and raise questions such as Why do nurses engage in particular practices?
