Democratization Magazine
Democratization aims to promote a better understanding of democratization – defined as the way democratic norms, institutions and practices evolve and are disseminated both within and across national and cultural boundaries. While the focus is on democratization viewed as a process, the journal also builds on the enduring interest in democracy itself and its analysis. The emphasis is contemporary and the approach comparative, with the publication of scholarly contributions about those areas where democratization is currently attracting considerable attention world-wide. There is special reference to democratization in the developing world and in post-communist societies, but not to the exclusion of other relevant areas such as North America, Australasia, and the European Union and its member states.The journal aims to encourage debate on the many aspects of democratization that are of interest to policy-makers, administrators and journalists, aid and development personnel, as well as to all those involved in education. . Fish Physiology and Biochemistry Magazine
Flow, Turbulence and Combustion is published in association with the European Research Community on Flow, Turbulence and Combustion (ERCOFTAC). ERCOFTAC is a collaboration between European universities, research institutes and industry active in the area of applied fluid mechanics, and strongly promotes scientific research on current issues in this area. In this respect, the journal provides a forum for the publication of those research results that contribute to the solution of problems in flow, turbulence and combustion and related fields. The journal aims for an audience of readers and contributors coming from the entire international fluid mechanics community, both inside and outside academia, and underwriting the aims mentioned above.The journal covers the entire domain of flow, turbulence and combustion, including all flow problems relevant in industrial, geophysical and environmental applications. The emphasis is on solid and original research results, numerical, experimental and theoretical, and their relevance to applied fluid mechanics and combustion.The journal has evolved from Applied Scientific Research which, established in 1948, has changed over the years from a general scientific journal into a journal focusing on the applications of fluid dynamics. The title Flow, Turbulence and Combustion adopted in 1998 reflects this change of focus.Main features of accepted papers will be originality, novelty, timeliness, and clarity of presentation. Full-length research papers and review or survey articles are equally welcome. All such contributions are subject to critical peer review prior to acceptance and publication. We also invite submission of short contributions or correspondence on new and/or controversial matters for which quick publication will be ensured. Journal of Genocide Research promotes an interdisciplinary and comparative approach to the study of genocide. Genocide has reared its head numerous times throughout the twentieth century. Genocidal thought and action have found many opportunities to assault targeted groups and endanger their existence. These repeated attempts at annihilation pose some of the more perplexing questions of the modern age warranting systematic, scholarly investigation. Journal of Genocide Research devotes itself exclusively to focusing on this troublesome phenomenon that promises to re-occur well into the twenty-first century.Journal of Genocide Research is designed to serve as an international forum for a broad spectrum of scholars:theologians, philosophers, jurists, moralists, ethicists, political scientists and, of course, historians. Given the contemporary resurgence of extreme ethnic conflict throughout the world, Journal of Genocide Research will allot considerable space to this potentially genocidal danger as well as to the serious problems it poses politicians, diplomats and policy makers who seek to predict and prevent genocide.Journal of Genocide Research will place considerable emphasis on three areas to further genocide research: theory, methodology and the comparative approach. There is still much to explore about the psychology and logic of genocidal thinking and the motives underlying genocidal behavior. Scholarly tools employed in unravelling all aspects of genocide still need considerable honing and creative application. Employment of comparison as a primary way of clarifying problems of genocide has a long way to go - the tendency to examine genocides in isolation is still much too prevalent. One direction in which the Journal of Genocide Research will steer is towards discouraging studies of individual genocides in isolation from other incidents of genocide in the belief that specificity is best attained via the recognition of differences and similarities. . Atlantic Economic Journal Magazine
The Atlantic Economic Journal (AEJ) has an international reputation for excellent articles in all interest areas, without regard to fields or methodological preferences. Founded in 1973 by the International Atlantic Economic Society, a need was identified for increased communication among scholars from different countries. For over 30 years, the AEJ has continuously sought articles that traced some of the most critical economic changes and developments to occur on the global level. The journals goal is to facilitate and synthesize economic research across nations to encourage cross-fertilization of ideas and scholarly research. Contributors include some of the worlds most respected economists and financial specialists, including Nobel laureates and leading government officials. AEJ welcomes both theoretical and empirical articles, as well as public policy papers. All manuscripts are submitted to a double-blind, peer review process.In addition to formal publication of full-length articles, the AEJ provides an opportunity for less formal communication through its Anthology section. A small point may not be worthy of a full-length, formal paper but is important enough to warrant dissemination to other researchers. Research in progress may be of interest to other scholars in the field. A research approach ending in negative results needs to be shared to save others similar pitfalls. The Anthology section has been established to facilitate these forms of communication. Anthologies provide a means by which short manuscripts of less than 500 words can quickly appear in the AEJ. All submissions are formally reviewed by the Board of Editors.The Book Review Article section of the journal does not publish standard book reviews. Instead, full-length book review articles are published that are refereed and meet high publication standards. These articles provide a synthesis of how each book relates to literature in the field. Readers can thus identify the context of each book within the literature.
