It seeks to develop a new focus and new perspectives for all those concerned with breast cancer.Oncology is undoubtedly the most rapidly growing subspecialty in the field of medicine, and breast cancer is one of the most serious problems of oncology. It is the leading cause of death of women in many countries and is truly a multidisiplinary problem without geographic restrictions. Yet this very multidisciplinary aspect accounts for breast cancer literature appearing in any of the dozens of existing medical journals. None of these journals provides a focus on the unique problems of breast cancer. There has been no convenient arena for the discussion and resolution of ongoing controversies in breast cancer treatment, or for the consideration of thoughtful speculation and comments on current work. Breast Cancer Research and Treatment aims to fill this need.Each issue contains several articles dealing with original laboratory investigations and articles dealing with clinical studies. There are sections devoted to invited review articles, pro and con discussions of controversial subjects, book reviews, meeting reports, and editorials. Panel discussions are presented which bring together experts to consider important topics. Visual Cognition Magazine
Visual Cognition publishes new empirical research that increases theoretical understanding of human visual cognition. Studies may be concerned with any aspect of visual cognition such as perceptual organization; object, face, and scene recognition; visual attention and search; short-term and long-term visual memory; visual word recognition and reading; eye movement control and active vision; dynamic vision; and visual imagery. The typical study will use behavioral methods, but papers reporting studies of alternative populations or based on methods such as neuroimaging (e.g., fMRI, ERP, MEG) or modeling (computational or mathematical) that bear on visual cognition are also published. Articles take two forms. Full Articles typically involve multiple experiments and a relatively in-depth discussion of the theoretical implications of the work. There are no length restrictions though authors should strive for brevity. Brief Articles report new and unexpected empirical findings of broad interest and will be favored for novelty of approach or method. Manuscripts submitted as Brief Articles will receive a simple accept or reject disposition in the shortest possible time, and when accepted will receive priority for publication. Brief Articles have a maximum of 3000 words including abstract, notes, captions, and appendices, but excluding bibliography. The bibliography for a Brief Article should not exceed 30 references, and figures and tables should be used sparingly. A word count should be included on the title page. . Subscribe to

The Journal furthermore deals with L1-education primarily, although very aware of the circumstance that in most learning groups in the world, students are bilingual. Second-language teaching and learning issues will be dealt with in an integrative manner.Divided as we are by our distinct languages and cultures, we share a common concern: the quality of the teaching and learning of language and literature in L1. Throughout the world, education systems face major challenges. Societal demands for literacy and communicative competence increase while at the same time, school populations become ever more culturally and linguistically diverse. In response to these trends, many countries have examples of promising research and development in the learning and teaching of mother-tongue education....in splendid isolation. We argue that national work in the improvement of language education can profit enormously from international exchange. Hence, this journal aims to create an international forum for research and discussion on the teaching and learning of language and literature.L1-education ranges from kindergarten to adult education. It encompasses the learning of the written code and the teaching of oracy.
